Adding an 'm' to the end of our URL is one of the smaller things we've done. But it represents something much bigger: that cord has become the trusted source for tech hiring in the UK.

When cord launched 8 years ago, it was a niche messaging tool for JavaScript developers to message hiring managers inside London based start-ups. Today, cord is the largest job search for developers in the UK, with over 250,000 developers using cord to find work, more than 16,000 live positions and over 4000 companies on cord.

For job seekers, cord is an all-in-one job search platform - helping you discover every relevant position online, direct message hiring managers, benchmark your salary, and manage your job search in one place.

For companies, cord provides direct access to the most responsive, high-quality candidates actively looking for work ~30% of whom only use cord. With a flexible rolling monthly subscription and no hiring fees, companies reduce their cost per hire significantly.

As our reach has grown, so has our dataset. We now know which companies attract the most applications and which positions earn the most likes. Next week, we launch the UK Tech Hiring Rankings, which reveal the most popular companies with developers, who is growing the fastest, and who is providing the best candidate experience.

cord has evolved and, over time, has become the trusted source for tech hiring in the UK. Moving to cord.com is a reflection of this - and the direction we are taking into the future.

Moving over to cord.com feels more like coming home. Millions of people have trusted us so far, and for the first time, our new URL fully reflects that truth. But it is also the beginning of a new chapter that will see an even bigger opportunity for tech in this country.

• From Thursday, February 27th, cord.co will redirect to cord.com.
• The UK Tech Hiring Rankings launch the week commencing March 3rd.
