Our Goal

Tutorful is going through a period of expansive growth, mid-2021 the headcount is 65 employees and we're looking to grow to 85/90 by the end of 2021.

Our Situation
Big demands and a diverse pipeline
With our growth plans and the goal of increasing our headcount by 25 people, we needed something to not only give us extra people at the top of our hiring funnel, we needed a tool that could help us hire people, and if possible - quickly.
We were looking for a large volume of Full-Stack PHP Developers, App Developers and Product Managers - these roles had a wide range of skills so we needed a source that had a range of people that matched the skills we were looking for.

Not only are skills easy to see, when you send a message to someone, they respond. On cord, our response rate is about 3-4 times higher than we get on Linkedin. I'd say if you find someone that matches what you're looking for and what they're looking for, you've got a good chance of making a hire.
Remote made easy
On cord it's easy to see who's looking for remote specific work. Profiles of Engineers have remote preferences detailing their remote preference, their work location eligibility and how many days they can work in-office. For Engineers who are looking for remote-specific work, their profiles have info on where they are based and what time-zone they operate from so we have a clear picture of how they'd integrate with our teams. Using cord's message templates, I'm able to efficiently reach out to relevant candidates in a fashion that is both quick and personal. I'm able to build a template, inject variables such as job title, position title, current employer and previous employer to reference unique parts of someone's profile, without having to do it manually for every reach out.
I think it's really useful because I can just click the message drop-down, send the message everything's automated. Sometimes there's something particular I want to add into it (hyper-personalisation) I will do, but it's quick and pretty seamless in that way. I like automated technology, and cord's message templates fit really well into my process.

Our Result

On cord we made 3 hires in our first 2 months - an App Developer and two Product Managers, with several more people in our pipeline. The cost-per-hire for these roles differed massively compared to other sources we have hired from previously.
