About Aistetic
Aistetic are a University of Oxford spinout on a mission to make accurate 3D body models available to everyone with a smartphone. They are supported by world-leading innovation partners such as the University of Oxford, Innovate UK, and Digital Catapult.
They’re a diverse group of business people, engineers, scientists, and developers on a mission to disrupt and improve how everyone shops for clothes, tracks their fitness and health goals.
Our Goal
We’re a deeptech company so we use computer vision and deep learning in our day-to-day. This means we’re after a suite of different engineering skills and our challenge has been around accessing people with those skills but in a startup context.
Our Situation
Cost vs quality
In the past, we have considered recruiters but the challenge with recruiters is the cost and some of the candidates don’t always have enough depth of engineering and breadth of engineering. We needed a cost-effective tool that would allow us to easily contact quality engineers.
Using cord
Speed of hire
The speed at which you can start recruitment on cord and start conversations is a real strength of the platform because you can instantly and very easily start messaging. The messaging is quick and fast which is super satisfying and particularly important when you’re a start-up and you want to move quickly. We were able to have someone from first conversation to in the role in 6 weeks.
Quality of Engineers
The people we speak to on cord have the depth and breadth of engineering that we’re looking for - on top of that, you can immediately see people that are ‘active’ on cord and who are looking to change roles. cord streamlines the process of finding quality engineers, we’re able to quickly evaluate if they have the right skills for us and decide whether we want to interview them which has been really helpful and beneficial to us.
