Does more data mean better job decisions?

I have a friend, who is really great. And he's actually a very people orientated person, but his decisions when it comes to jobs is by Excel sheet. It's literally metrics. All attributes exactly measured, and then he lists up the opportunities and compares salaries and people learning opportunity and all this. And it's really large.

And I think he has done no decision correctly. Which I think is really funny.
