What does becoming a CTO feel like?

Stepping into a CTO role in a scaleup, you really feel like you're moving away from just being a technical leader to being a business leader. You are really moved away from the day-to-day problems of how the application behaves, do we have any incidents, to projecting and strategy and discussing your real next move with the board and investors. And it's very much business leadership role with some elements of technical leadership, which again, I enjoyed quite a lot to the point that I was started leaning in quite heavily into the product team ways of working and things like that.
