Are all career goals the same?

What appealed to me was being able to spend my extra skills and my extra value, not in making more money, but in spending less time on it. And so that there was definitely a phase in my life where I was optimising for working as little as possible. There is a second phase and they definitely still overlap up somewhat where I'm optimising my work for being as interesting as possible. So as intellectually fulfilling. Those often do conflict with traditional career goals.
