The most in-demand skills for DevOps Engineers
Demand for DevOps Engineering skills quantified using cord data

cord have analysed the number of messages received by DevOps Engineers with specific skills, and calculated the average number of message requests received per engineer with these skills, allowing DevOps Engineers to make more informed decisions based on relative demand for their skills.

Kubernetes is the most in-demand skill for DevOps Engineers, with 13.3 message requests received by the average DevOps Engineer listing it as a skill. Kubernetes is followed by Terraform (12.4), CI/CD (10.8), AWS (9.7), Docker (9.0) and Ansible (8.6) in the list of most in-demand DevOps engineering skills.
There is then a significant drop-off between demand for these skills and programming languages, such as Java (6.7), Python (6.5) and C# (4.5), with Linux (4.0) rounding off the top 10 most in-demand DevOps engineering skills.
