Across 395 companies on cord, 167 didn’t publish the number of holidays on their job descriptions, and 19 offered unlimited holiday.

Among the remaining 141, the mean number of days' annual leave per year (excluding public holidays) was 26.07. The median number was 25. Companies offering below these numbers are below average for holiday allowance.

If a company offers 28 days’ holiday per year or more (excluding public holidays), this puts it in the top 25% of companies for holiday allowance. If a company offers 33 days or more, it is in the top 5%.

These figures have been calculated in addition to, rather than inclusive of, bank or public holidays.
