Why are interview processes so long?

I have utmost respect for anybody in talent acquisition, because they're not judging, they are trying to understand whether this journey is correct for you. That's all they're trying to do. So questions, assessments, informal chats, all these things, it's just, is this the right train for you to depart on or ride on or drive or build or repair? That's what they're trying to do, for the candidates benefit.
