How actively should I market myself?

It's always good to ensure that people are aware that you are out there. I think awareness is really, really important. The obvious networking of LinkedIn is pretty baseline, it's pretty fundamental, and making sure that you have good connections, making sure that you are active and making sure that every so often you are creating content.

Having said that I'm not prolific when it comes to creating content or disseminating content. I'm aware of people out there who are far more active in that area than I am, primarily because I'm mostly getting on with work. The days are short often, marketing myself is not my priority because I have been lucky enough, or fortunate enough, not to have to go out and seek work.
