How can I maximise my own contribution?

If you are trying to leverage skills that don't gel well with the things that you're good at, you won't be doing the best service that you can to the cause that you're interested in, so that sort of self-discovery step at the beginning, from my perspective, has been super important for realising the most effective work that I could be doing for the things that I care about.
