Job Description

What you'll be doing:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to join the Marketing Technology team as a Technical Analyst.
  • We have a wide-ranging client list, working with some of the biggest and most innovative brands in the UK across utilities, gaming, publishing, retail and consumer packaged goods, leisure, financial services and beyond.
  • Analytics implementation and domain responsibilities:
  • Being hands on with implementation (At least one of JavaScript, HTML)
  • Any experience in the following or similar Analytics tools is desired (Adobe Analytics, GA4, Amplitude, etc.)
  • Any experience in working with Tag Management Systems is desired (GTM, Adobe Launch, TealiumiQ, Ensighten)
  • Create, own, and ensure maintenance of all levels of technical specification and documentation
  • Understand and drive the solution at a detailed level whilst also maintaining the larger project vision and ensuring the solution meets the requirements
  • Testing and quality assurance responsibilities:
  • Full end to end testing leveraging both Development Tools Network requests and Console checks.
  • Responsible for the quality assurance stage of development and deployment. Conducting automated and manual tests to ensure the project development is fit for purpose and any bugs or issues are removed prior to deployment
  • Anticipate technical issues and risks throughout the project and highlight and mitigate as appropriate
  • Client responsibilities:
  • Work in partnership with client IT teams, ensuring adherence to client's IT policy and processes
  • Take part in workshops and client meetings including discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, requirements gathering workshops, use case or solution design workshops
  • Proactively identifying, scoping and securing opportunities for CACI to deliver additional projects to clients
  • Ensuring all support requests are acknowledged and dealt with in a timely manner

Who you are:

  • You have Analytics development and domain experience:
  • You will ideally have experience as a Technical Analyst, having successfully supported or worked on implementation of Analytics solutions
  • You will ideally have experience working in an agency, consulting, or technology organisation
  • You will ideally have experience of delivering projects, and working closely with IT teams
  • You are a strong listener with the ability to understand a client's requirements, whilst also being able to interrogate and ask questions to get into the detail of solutions
  • You will have a pragmatic approach, able to implement the right solution that meets the client's requirements without excessive custom development
  • You will ideally have some experience on at least one digital analytics technology or tag management system
  • You are passionate about ensuring the quality assurance prior to releasing development with a keen eye for detail to identify potential defects
  • You are a team player:
  • You are energetic and positive
  • You are a team player who will share knowledge
  • You are a logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills
  • You are flexible and capable of proactive and reactive communication
  • You are a strong communicator - written/verbal English
  • You have good presentation skills, in particular the ability to present and explain technical solutions to clients
  • You will have strong organisational skills and will be comfortable juggling multiple projects

Requirements

We have built our entire banking platform in house and mostly in Java. We are looking for people who want to work on building the tooling that is used by our engineers on a daily basis.

We are looking for people who are truly full stack, and are as comfortable polishing their javascript front end as they are debugging the innards of their java applications database interactions, or standing up infrastructure with terraform. We are looking for people who can:

  • Design REST apis.
  • Code backend services, ideally using Java, or another other server side compiled language.
  • Develop modern front ends, ideally using React and Redux.
  • Get their code into the cloud and support it there, ideally on AWS.
  • Believe in clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing and continuous deployment.
  • Like to take ownership of a feature from the original idea through to live.
  • Think (like us) that a small number of empowered developers is the right way to deliver software.
