Who are we looking for:

A Product Manager to play a pivotal role within a squad developing and managing the Partner side of our Home Setup service.

As a Product Manager reporting to our Head of Product, you will work closely within your squad and with multiple business functions to set a clear direction, understand and collaborate on requirements, write functional specifications / PRDs, uncover insights using data, and work with departmental heads to deliver new features. You will also work closely with a Product Designer and Tech Lead.

The role will be very hands-on and you should be ready to use an analytical and creative approach to testing and validating features as our products mature.

Experience working on B2B and B2C software products and platforms is essential, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment. You will have plenty of opportunities to implement your experience and improve the way we work within Product.

The role:

  • You will be responsible for creating and managing a roadmap aligned to squad and business outcomes
  • You will communicate with Partners, Suppliers and internal stakeholders to understand the progress they are trying to make and where our applications can support this
  • You will perform demonstrations to partners and internal stakeholders of upcoming functionality
  • You will work closely with a researcher to turn insights into specifications, PRDs, user stories, and job stories
  • You will ensure that the team is working on the right things in the right order to deliver our agreed outcomes
  • Lead the planning of releasees and set the expectation for delivery of new functionality

Requirements:

  • Experience with writing user stories and job stories
  • Experience gaining insight from data
  • Experience with B2B, B2C (and/or B2B2C) SaaS applications
  • Experience of working with an agile(ish) Product team
  • Clear, confident communicator; you’ll need to be able to work in cross-functional teams and with help bridge the gap among stakeholders, designers and developers
  • Organisational, collaboration and analytical skills
  • Experience working with competing priorities
  • Experience running meetings/ceremonies and product sprints
  • Experience writing functional specifications for development and design teams (PRDs)
  • An appetite to work in a fast-growth business
Beneficial but not required:
  • Experience with (or creating) wireframes
  • Experience with Figma

  • A background in or knowledge of energy, broadband or insurance

What will you be working on:

You will be arriving in the company at a pivotal time as we transition from a phone-based business to digital-first and phone/digital hybrid. Further development of our B2B partner portal will also be required. In 2025 we will have a big focus on AI and eCommerce.

How will you be working:

With changing times, communication is more important than ever. Slack and Google Meet are used within the business for daily catch ups/meetings. Your role will be a mix of remote and in-office. We are open to it staying largely remote, with regular visits to our offices in Bournemouth & London.

Interview Process

  • Once shortlisted for interview, you will be invited to a 30 minute Google Meet with our Head of Product.
  • Following a successful interview, you will be sent a short case study and challenge.
  • Upon completion of the challenge, you will be invited to a competency based interview (either in our offices or virtual) where you will have an opportunity to meet some of the Product team.

Requirements

We have built our entire banking platform in house and mostly in Java. We are looking for people who want to work on building the tooling that is used by our engineers on a daily basis.

We are looking for people who are truly full stack, and are as comfortable polishing their javascript front end as they are debugging the innards of their java applications database interactions, or standing up infrastructure with terraform. We are looking for people who can:

  • Design REST apis.
  • Code backend services, ideally using Java, or another other server side compiled language.
  • Develop modern front ends, ideally using React and Redux.
  • Get their code into the cloud and support it there, ideally on AWS.
  • Believe in clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing and continuous deployment.
  • Like to take ownership of a feature from the original idea through to live.
  • Think (like us) that a small number of empowered developers is the right way to deliver software.
