Job Description

This is a product domain PMM role at Sokin, sitting within a growing global product marketing team. You'll own the go-to-market strategy for a defined set of product capabilities developing the positioning, messaging, and commercial narrative that brings those products to life for the market. You'll work across both direct customer and partner-led routes to market, understanding how different audiences evaluate and buy, and ensuring every touchpoint tells a consistent, compelling story. Sokin's product portfolio gives businesses, platforms, and fintechs access to a global financial infrastructure stack covering onboarding, currency accounts, payments, payment acceptance, payouts, FX, stablecoins, and treasury management. Sokin handles licensing, compliance, and banking relationships in the background. Our partners and customers control the experience. You'll turn deep product knowledge and market insight into positioning, sales enablement, and launch execution that drives adoption and revenue across EMEA, APAC, and North America.

Key Responsibilities

Product domain ownership

  • Own the end-to-end GTM strategy for your assigned product domains from positioning and messaging through to launch execution, sales enablement, and performance tracking.
  • Become the internal expert on your product areas: understand the functionality, the roadmap, the competitive landscape, and the customer problems they solve.
  • Define and maintain clear positioning and messaging for each product domain, ensuring it holds across both direct customer and partner-led routes to market.
  • Partner closely with Product to stay ahead of the roadmap, feed market and customer insight back into prioritisation, and ensure launches are timed and positioned for commercial impact.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Sokin's full product taxonomy across Receive, Convert, Send, Control, Earn, Spend and articulate how your product domains fit within and enhance the broader portfolio.

Go-to-market strategy and launch execution

  • Lead GTM planning and execution for product launches within your domains, coordinating across Sales, Partnerships, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
  • Develop launch messaging, enablement materials, and campaign briefs that drive awareness, adoption, and revenue for each product area.
  • Support regional activation across EMEA, APAC, and North America, working with in-market teams to ensure messaging and execution land effectively in each geography.

Market and competitive intelligence

  • Track the cross-border payments landscape and understand how competitors are positioning and delivering similar capabilities in market.
  • Monitor trends relevant to your product domains including, stablecoin settlement, card programmes, agentic treasury, and evolving regulatory frameworks and translate these into actionable positioning and messaging.
  • Build a deep understanding of how both direct customers and partners evaluate, buy, and expand with Sokin from initial discovery through to onboarding, activation, and growth.
  • Develop detailed buyer personas across both routes to market including CFOs and finance leaders, heads of partnerships, commercial decision-makers, and product and technology leaders mapped to regional market dynamics.

Sales enablement and commercial support

  • Create domain-specific sales collateral including pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards, ROI tools, demo scripts and use-case-led assets built for both direct sales and partner-led conversations.
  • Partner with commercial and partnerships teams to develop outbound messaging, talk tracks and objection handling tailored to each audience and route to market.
  • Train internal teams on your product domains covering functionality, competitive differentiation, commercial structures, and ideal customer and partner profiles so every customer-facing team can sell with confidence.
  • Ensure partner-facing teams have the materials and messaging they need to position and sell your product domains effectively to their own customers.

Content and demand generation

  • Work with Content, Social and Demand Generation teams to develop campaigns and thought leadership that build awareness and commercial momentum for your product domains.
  • Act as the subject matter expert providing support across paid search, LinkedIn, ABM, and industry-specific channels for your areas of ownership.
  • Own Sokin's positioning at relevant fintech, payments, and cross-border finance events globally, ensuring your product domains are represented consistently and compellingly.

Product feedback and collaboration

  • Act as the voice of the market for your product domains channelling customer and partner insights, competitive intelligence, and capability gaps directly into the product roadmap.
  • Work with key stakeholders across Product, Compliance, Finance and Engineering to ensure messaging is accurate, compliant and commercially sound.
  • Partner with Brand and Regional Marketing teams to ensure messaging is consistent, localised and effective across all markets.

What success looks like in 12 months

  • Your product domains have clear, differentiated positioning that holds across direct customer and partner-led routes to market.
  • Sales and BDE teams are confident selling your product areas, supported by strong domain-specific collateral, talk tracks and competitive battlecards.
  • Product launches within your domains have contributed measurable pipeline, adoption, and revenue growth.
  • The business has a sharper understanding of buyer personas and customer pain points across your product areas, and that intelligence is actively shaping the roadmap.
  • You are the recognised internal expert for your product domains the go-to person for messaging, market insight, and competitive positioning.

Qualifications

  • 4 to 7 years in product marketing, with at least 2 years owning specific product domains or capability areas within a B2B fintech, payments, or financial services business.
  • Strong understanding of cross-border payments and financial services concepts and how these translate into customer and partner value propositions across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience operating across both direct customer and partner-led routes to market, with the ability to adapt positioning and messaging for different audiences without losing coherence.
  • A track record of launching payments, fintech, or financial services products globally, with demonstrable commercial impact across multiple markets or regions.
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials and partnering closely with commercial and partnerships teams.
  • Strong competitive analysis skills and the ability to turn complex market information into clear, compelling positioning.
  • Experience in a high-growth fintech environment where speed, ownership and adaptability are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex payments concepts for technical, commercial, and executive audiences.

  • Birthday Leave
  • Private Medical Insurance

Job Description

Starling is the UK’s first and leading digital bank on a mission to fix banking! Our vision is fast technology, fair service, and honest values. All at the tap of a phone, all the time.

Starling is the UK’s first and leading digital bank on a mission to fix banking! We built a new kind of bank because we knew technology had the power to help people save, spend and manage their money in a new and transformative way.

We’re a fully licensed UK bank with the culture and spirit of a fast-moving, disruptive tech company. We’re a bank, but better: fairer, easier to use and designed to demystify money for everyone. We employ more than 3,000 people across our London, Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester offices.

Our technologists are at the very heart of Starling and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that is all about building things, creating new stuff, and disruptive technology that keeps us on the cutting edge of fintech. We operate a flat structure to empower you to make decisions regardless of what your primary responsibilities may be, innovation and collaboration will be at the core of everything you do. Help is never far away in our open culture, you will find support in your team and from across the business, we are in this together!

The way to thrive and shine within Starling is to be a self-driven individual and be able to take full ownership of everything around you: From building things, designing, discovering, to sharing knowledge with your colleagues and making sure all processes are efficient and productive to deliver the best possible results for our customers. Our purpose is underpinned by five Starling values: Listen, Keep It Simple, Do The Right Thing, Own It, and Aim For Greatness.

Hybrid Working

We have a Hybrid approach to working here at Starling - our preference is that you're located within a commutable distance of one of our offices so that we're able to interact and collaborate in person. We don't like to mandate how much you visit the office and work from home, that's to be agreed upon between you and your manager.

Our Data Environment

Our Data teams are excited about the value of data within the business, powers our product decisions to improve things for our customers and enhance effective and agile decision making, regardless of what their primary tech stack may be. Hear from the team in our latest blogs or our case studies with Women in Tech.

We are looking for talented data professionals at all levels to join the team. We value people being engaged and caring about customers, caring about the code they write and the contribution they make to Starling. People with a broad ability to apply themselves to a multitude of problems and challenges, who can work across teams do great things here at Starling, to continue changing banking for good.

Requirements

We have built our entire banking platform in house and mostly in Java. We are looking for people who want to work on building the tooling that is used by our engineers on a daily basis.

We are looking for people who are truly full stack, and are as comfortable polishing their javascript front end as they are debugging the innards of their java applications database interactions, or standing up infrastructure with terraform. We are looking for people who can:

  • Design REST apis.
  • Code backend services, ideally using Java, or another other server side compiled language.
  • Develop modern front ends, ideally using React and Redux.
  • Get their code into the cloud and support it there, ideally on AWS.
  • Believe in clean coding, simple solutions, automated testing and continuous deployment.
  • Like to take ownership of a feature from the original idea through to live.
  • Think (like us) that a small number of empowered developers is the right way to deliver software.

Company Benefits

  • 33 days holiday (including flexible bank holidays)
  • An extra day’s holiday for your birthday
  • 16 hours paid volunteering time a year
  • Part-time and/or flexible hours available for most roles
  • Salary sacrifice, company enhanced pension scheme
  • Life insurance at 4x your salary
  • Hybrid/remote working
  • Private Medical Insurance with VitalityHealth including mental health support and cancer care. Partner benefits include discounts with Waitrose, Mr&Mrs Smith and Peloton
  • Generous family-friendly policies
  • Varied social groups set up and run by our employees
  • Perkbox membership giving access to retail discounts, a wellness platform for physical and mental health, and weekly free and boosted perks
  • Access to initiatives like Cycle to Work, Salary Sacrificed Gym partnerships and Electric Vehicle (EV) leasing

Full details are available on our careers site

Interview Process

Interviewing is a two way process and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you! Our interviews are conversational and we want to get the best from you, so come with questions and be curious. In general you can expect the below, following a chat with one of our Talent Team:

  • Stage 1 - 30 mins with one of the team
  • Stage 2 - Take home challenge
  • Stage 3 - 90 mins technical interview with two team members
  • Stage 3 - 45 min final with an executive and a member of the people team
