Can my career be purposeful over the long term?

I like to think that I'm very purposeful about my career and maybe some of this may be retrospectively as well. Some of this may sound much more thoughtful than it actually when it happened, but I do think that every step, whether it was within a company or moving from one company to another, I wanted them to be meaningful for me. I always think about, how do I change myself? How do I grow in my career in my development? And I know different people think about this differently. Some people are looking for the most impactful organisation or project they can work on in a given moment, whereas I like to see this as a single career that goes across different organisations and different technology stacks and different projects. So, yeah, I've been trying to build on top of those different opportunities. And I definitely think about how they relate to each other, whether what I'm doing next is significantly different to what I've been doing before, is it a step in the right direction? For me, I've been quite purposeful about this.
