Can my Best Work happen in an imperfect world?

An old quote that comes to mind, probably one of the most popular in the world, is, "Be the change you want to see in the world." That's the way to both engage with the world by being the change, but also change the world by being part of it in a certain way. So from this perspective, I'm trying to avoid two extremes. I think one extreme would be to say, "No, the world is as it is. And yes, capitalism, climate change, social inequality, injustices, all of these exist and it’s horrible, but this is how things are and we can't really do anything about it."

So that would be one extreme, but another extreme could be to ignore how the world works today and try to fully demolish it to build a better world tomorrow. This kind of thinking gave us, I think, quite horrible social experiments in the 20th Century. But what I'm trying to do on a personal level with my life and my work is to stay in the middle, to be part of the system, but have as much awareness and clarity on how exactly I'm contributing to it, benefiting from it and how my way of being also changes the entire system for the better.
