Does humility facilitate learning?

My two years at Capgemini were a humbling experience, because I felt like I had quite a bit of experience. I went in a little bit too big-headed, I thought I knew everything. And then once I dived into it, I started to see, "Oh, I actually don't know everything." I need to humble myself a bit here because there is so much more out there than what I think.
